Hi. My name is Michael and I want to tell everyone how great I am doing. For several years I was having a really hard time getting outside. Sometimes I didn’t even want to leave my bedroom. I was very sad and the more I stayed in, the harder it was for me to go out. Everything is better now. Thanks to a lot of hard work by me and my friends who work with me, I go out all of the time now. I go to the office every day during the week to get the mail and say hi to everyone. I feel so good when people tell me how great it is to see me and how well I look. I went bowling a few weeks ago for the first time in over 5 years. I had so much fun! In January I even went to my doctor’s office for the first time in years for my physical and blood work and I did great. In the past, he has had to come to my house to see me. I also go to a weekly dance and can even eat inside a restaurant now, no more doing the drive-through for me! It wasn’t easy and it didn’t happen over night. I am so glad we kept trying and didn’t give up. The next thing I want to do is try ice skating at Gage Park again.
