The World's Longest Street Festival ~ Sunday, June 7 2009

KPAS participated in the Annual Street Festival in Aurora on Sunday June 7th with the goal to raise awareness of ASD and to heighten our profile in the community. More than 300,000 people attended this year’s festival.  Many questions were asked about specific supports available for individuals with autism and their family members.  It was a very successful day. A special thanks to staff who volunteered their time to support this event, Tracy and her son Jimmy Mansell, Doreen Sengsavang, Jennifer Van Nest and Nancy Brouillard.  Thanks also go out to volunteers Marc Brouillard, Patrice Graham-Brown & Thuy Lam.  Thanks also to KPAS staff, individuals and families we support who stopped by to say hello and offer encouragement.  A special thanks to Gavin Newell for assisting us day of the event.
