The Hub: Summer Camp
THERE WILL BE MULTIPLE CAMP SESSIONS, EACH LASTING EITHER ONE OR TWO WEEKS IN DURATION.
THE FIRST CAMP SESSION WILL BEGIN DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF JULY.
AT THE HUB SUMMER CAMP, PARTICIPANTS WILL ENGAGE IN A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES RELATED TO:
Campers will experience daily fun filled events showing off their theatrical, musical and artistic skills.
By participating in the Summer Camp, campers will take part in activities developed to foster their confidence in socializing with others, strengthen their daily living and recreational skills, engage in novel experiences, build new and lasting relationships, and most importantly, have FUN!
Camp groupings will aim to ensure participants are matched with others of similar interests and profiles.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
The Summer Camp is designed for individuals aged 12 to 17 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The service is geared towards those who aspire to build their social understanding and develop relationships with new people while taking part in a variety of group activities.
Each camp session will last either one or two weeks long, and run from 9am-3pm.
Camp Support Ratio: 1 consultant to 3 campers.
After registering, orientation sessions will be held in the Spring, for families and participants to attend and learn more about the camp, and meet the team. Day and evening orientation sessions are available.
