Post-Secondary Application Phase – Young Adults Project

Objective: Begin the process of applying to Post-Secondary, create an application profile and select programs of interest.
Suitable for: Participants who know what schools/programs they want to apply to and are motivated to apply.
Prerequisites: Confirmation of Young Adults Project (YAP) registration and completion of a Kerry’s Place Autism Services intake meeting and relevant consent forms.
Young Adults Project (YAP) is an initiative at Kerry’s Place Autism Services which focuses on supporting adults 18 years or older with Autism Spectrum Disorder, who are looking to enter the workforce and retain meaningful employment. The Young Adults Project provides individualized support to adults with ASD at any point in their employment journey. The YAP participants work with an Autism Consultant to establish employment goals, attend small groups, connect with service providers, advocate for accommodations and maintain employment. All services have been adapted to be offered virtually using Zoom.
Please Note: Registration does not guarantee a space in this webinar. To be eligible, confirmation of YAP registration, completion of a Kerry’s Place Autism Services intake meeting and consent forms will be required.
Participant Age: 18+
Location: Will be delivered live via Zoom for participants registered in YAP and the following are required to participate:
- Currently registered in YAP, completion of a Kerry’s Place Autism Services intake meeting and consent forms
- Mobile Device, Tablet or Computer
- An internet connection
- Speakers and a microphone
- A webcam

Registration Closes: Saturday, December 2nd, 2023
Cancellation Process:
Canceled by Kerry’s Place: Kerry’s Place may cancel a program due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, and the activity cannot be rescheduled, participants will be notified as quickly as possible and attempts, within reason, will be made to help the attendee enroll in a new session.
Canceled by Supported Person/Family: For effective planning, when possible, Kerry’s Place appreciates five business days’ notice of cancellation before the start of the workshop/training.
