Kerry’s Place is excited to offer Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) Roundtables for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ages 14-18, who are experiencing a transition. The group encourages participants to engage in roundtable discussions on transitional-related skills. Teens will get the opportunity to interact with each other, enjoy activities and discuss ways to cope with various transitions.
The Roundtable topic will include teaching participants the importance of self-advocacy, recognizing when to apply the skill independently and ways to foster skill development. The purpose of reviewing this topic is to assist participant’s ability to use this skill in a meaningful way throughout life transitions. Session will conclude with TAY Roundtable recommendations to encourage the application of strategies and skills taught during session.
