Participants of the Let’s Connect Social Skills Group, a monthly group for any teens that have completed PEERS, met for their November session last Thursday.

Facilitators had teens review the rules for handling teasing and arguments, and participate in various activities allowing them to practice these social skills. As part of each session, a mindfulness or relaxation activity is included in the schedule. For the month of November, facilitators asked the teens to go on a sensory walk through the Kerry’s Place Kennedy Road Resource Centre, and experience the various sensory objects.

In partners, one teen had their eyes closed, while the other teen guided them around the centre.

HERE ARE SOME PICTURES FROM THE VERY SUCCESSFUL SENSORY WALK!
