Adult Supports and Employment Services are any programs that are targeting specific supports available to those over the age of 18 and/or are focusing on providing employment preparations to support employment success.
Young Adult’s Project
The Young Adults Project (YAP) is an initiative at Kerry’s Place which focuses on supporting persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who are looking to enter the workforce and retain meaningful employment. The Young Adults Project provides individualized support to young adults with ASD at any point in their employment journey. The YAP participants work with an Autism Consultant to establish employment goals, attend workshops, connect with service providers, advocate for accommodations and maintain employment.

Kerry’s Place Autism Services is proud to partner with Ready, Willing and Able to build a more inclusive labour force that leverages the skills of people on the autism spectrum. Our local Autism Outreach Coordinator can support you in navigating your path to success.
Community Participation Supports
Community Participation Supports (CPS) is goal-driven and community-based supports to assist adults aged 18 and older and promotes social inclusion, individual choice, independence and rights. Intake processes for Community Participation Supports are managed by Developmental Services Ontario (DSO)

Foundations
Foundations is a Community Participation Supports program that is a goal driven service, to assist adults aged 18 and older in developing skills related to transitioning into adulthood, or developing skills related to independence. This service is time limited and may be offered either one to one or in a small group. Examples of goals may include employment goals, healthy living, relationship development, education, and communication involvement. Participants will need to qualify for and be registered through the Developmental Services of Ontario (DSO).
PLEASE NOTE: Foundations are also available as fee-for-service or through use with Passport funds.
Day Supports
Day Supports is a Community Participation Support program for adults with ASD ages 18 and older. Participants are encouraged to build new skills in the areas of employment, recreation, life and social skills, and purse educational opportunities in their communities. Supports are provided through small groups and are community-based. Participants will need to qualify for and be registered through the Developmental Services of Ontario (DSO).
