WE ARE SO GRATEFUL TO THE STAFF AND STUDENTS AT SHAUGHNESSY PUBLIC SCHOOL IN NORTH YORK FOR THEIR WORLD AUTISM AWARENESS FUNDRAISING EFFORTS!
Shaughnessy has classes for students on the Autism Spectrum at the Primary, Jr and Intermediate levels. During April, the school held special inclusive activities designed to integrate students and brainstorm about what a supportive school looks like. Students with ASD were also invited to share messages on the school bulletin board about Autism and what they want others to know.
To raise funds for Kerry’s Place, the students had pancake sales in each division of the school, and also brought in coins for the Change for Change initiative.
Altogether, they raised $208.00!
WAY TO GO, SHAUGHNESSY PUBLIC SCHOOL!
