Kerry’s Place Autism Services’ comprehensive Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Certification Course is now available virtually to our families, and to our communities at large at this time. This course is being presented over 12 evenings covering eight distinct topics. Each session constitutes group and individual activities, exploring scenarios and case studies consistent with various profiles of ASD, and assignments to provide opportunities to apply what has been learned.
Attendance for all 12 sessions and successful completion of all assignments are mandatory in order to receive the certificate of completion.
Our course has been delivered to its employees since 2011, and to our communities across the Province of Ontario since 2017.
- Cost: $595
- Dates: Thursdays starting January 11, 2024 to April 4, 2024 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Note: there will be no session on Thursday March 14, 2024
The Autism Spectrum Disorder Certificate Course will be delivered virtually via Zoom. The Zoom link will be e-mailed by Kerry’s Place staff two business days prior to the day of the scheduled event. If you do not see the e-mail in your inbox, please check your junk mail folder or spam folder. If you still haven’t receive an e-mail with the Zoom link, please contact ASDTrainingRequests@nullkerrysplace.org explaining the problem. To participate, the following is required:
- mobile device, tablet or computer
- internet connection
- speakers and a microphone
- webcam
Cancellation Policy:
Cancelled by Kerry’s Place: Kerry’s Place may cancel a program due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, and the activity cannot be rescheduled, a full refund will be issued with no administrative fee charged.
Cancelled by Supported Person/Family: Cancellation must be received at least 7 days before the start of the workshop/training. A full refund, minus a $25.00 administrative fee, will be applied when 7 days’ notice is provided. If 7 days’ notice is not provided, a full refund will only be issued if the vacancy can be filled. Refunds will not be issued for a missed day during a training session.
Late/No shows: When the attendee is late or does not attend the scheduled appointments, the time missed will not be returned and a refund will not be provided.
