It Happens for a Reason: The Meaning Behind Behaviour

June 6 @ 6:00pm - 8:30pm

In this 3-part learning series, participants will leave with a foundational understanding about the science of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or “why we do what we do”. As a result of participating in this workshop series, participants will be able to:

  • describe the elements of an operational definition of behaviour and provide an example
  • describe the ABCs of behaviour including setting events
  • list the four functions of behaviour with examples
  • identify antecedent strategies
  • describe the application of function-based consequence strategies
  • identify functionally equivalent replacement behaviours
