CLOSE: Living Life to the Full

Living Life to the Full (LLTF) is a national flagship program of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). This program is open to adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ages 18 and over. The program is a fun, group-based, mental health promotion course which encourages people to learn to thrive in life.
The course is for anyone dealing with stress, worry, low mood or those needing help managing life’s challenges. Living Life to the Full teaches practical self-management skills, using the principles of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT). During the course, attendees cover topics such as: self-confidence, problem-solving, motivation, dealing with unhelpful thoughts, and managing anger.
In eight weekly, 90-minute sessions, this program teaches people how to make helpful changes in their lives. Participants are taught how to deal with their feelings when fed-up, worried or hopeless, and learn skills to help them tackle life’s problems.
Orientation date: Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 3:00pm until 4:30pm
Dates: Tuesdays starting January17, 2023 until March 7, 2023
Time: 3:00pm until 4:30pm
Ratio: 10 participants to 1 staff
Cost: No associated fees
The orientation will provide participants and their families with an opportunity to learn more about Living Life to the Full program and how they can benefit from participating.
*Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all Living Life to the Full program sessions will be conducted virtually via zoom, a secure and encrypted videoconferencing platform. The following access will be required to participate:
- Tablet or Computer
- An internet connection
- Speakers and a microphone
- A webcam
Please note: Registration does not guarantee a space in this webinar. To be eligible, completion of a Kerry’s Place Autism Services intake meeting and additional documentation may be required to attend.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancelled by Kerry’s Place: Kerry’s Place may cancel a program due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, and the activity cannot be rescheduled, a full refund will be issued with no administrative fee charged.
Cancelled by Supported Person/Family (as applicable): Cancellation must be received at least 7 days before the start of the workshop/training. A full refund, minus a $25.00 administrative fee, will be applied when 7 days’ notice is provided. If 7 days’ notice is not provided, a full refund will only be issued if the vacancy can be filled. Refunds will not be issued for a missed day during a training session.
