This Foundational Family Service uses storytelling with children’s books to help children aged 5-7 with a sibling with Autism learn more about Autism and embrace differences.   The group consists of a storybook reading, a related activity, and a follow-up parent debrief to discuss the story, its themes, and how to respond to questions that may arise later on. The storybook this month will be “Have You Filled A Bucket Today”.

Time: 4:30pm to 5:15pm
Cost: there is no cost to participate

Sibling Story Time: A Group for Children with Siblings who have Autism will be delivered virtually via Zoom. The Zoom link will be e-mailed by Kerry’s Place staff two business days prior to the day of the scheduled event.  If you do not see the e-mail in your inbox, please check your junk mail folder or spam folder. If you still haven’t received an e-mail with the Zoom Link, please contact intake@nullkerrysplace.org  explaining the problem. We will do our best to answer your request as soon as possible. To participate, the following is required:

• mobile device, tablet or computer
• internet connection
• speakers and a microphone
• webcam

Please note: Registration does not guarantee a space in this webinar. To be eligible, completion of a Kerry’s Place Autism Services intake meeting is required, and additional documentation may be required to attend.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancelled by Kerry’s Place: Kerry’s Place may cancel a program due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, and the activity cannot be rescheduled, a full refund will be issued with no administrative fee charged.

Cancelled by Supported Person/Family: Cancellation must be received at least 7 days before the start of the workshop/training. A full refund, minus a $25.00 administrative fee, will be applied when 7 days’ notice is provided. If 7 days’ notice is not provided, a full refund will only be issued if the vacancy can be filled. Refunds will not be issued for a missed day during a training session.

Late/No shows: When the attendee is late or does not attend the scheduled appointments, the time missed will not be returned and a refund will not be provided.
