Supporting Transitions: Returning to Virtual Learning – Foundational Family Services

August 24 @ 10:00am - 12:00pm

Do you want to learn more about how to support your children as they transition back to virtual learning? As we progress through the current global pandemic, families are faced with unpredictable changes, making transitional supports increasingly important to assist with academic success. In this Foundational Family Service, parents and caregivers will leave with knowledge about why persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) may experience challenges around transitions, strategies to use with their child or youth, and how to navigate school-related community resources. This Foundational Family Service is intended for parents and caregivers of child and youth, aged 0-17, who are registered in the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and are, or will be, experiencing a transition to virtual learning. This Foundational Family Service workshop is led by an Autism Consultant or a Behaviour Therapist.

The Supporting Transitions: Returning to Virtual Learning workshop will be delivered live via Zoom, and the following is required to participate:

  • Mobile Device, Tablet or Computer
  • An internet connection
  • Speakers and a microphone
  • A webcam

Date: Tuesday August 24, 2021
Time: 10:00am-12:00pm
Cost: there is no cost to participate

Please Note: Registration does not guarantee a space in this webinar. To be eligible, confirmation of OAP registration and completion of a Kerry’s Place Autism Services intake meeting and consent forms will be required.

Foundational Family Services are available to persons under the age of 18, and their families, registered with the Ontario Autism Program. These services assist families in supporting their child’s learning and development.
