This group will use block-based, drag-and-drop coding in programs such as Scratch and Code.org. This group requires basic computer skills and a motivation to want to learn about computer programming.

Pre-Screening Session: Prior to registration for any group, the child or youth will participate in a group pre-screening session. A group pre-screening session is an opportunity for the child or youth to see what a group at Kerry’s Place Autism Services looks likes. Based on the staff members’ observations during the group pre-screening session, and in consultation with the child or youth and their caregiver, our experienced staff will make recommendations for any service that might best meet the needs of the child or youth. Participating in a group pre-screening session does not guarantee that the child/youth will be enrolled in a particular group or service. Pre-screening sessions are valid for 6 months and are only needed once prior to registering for a group.

Last Available Pre-Screening Session: Saturday, December 11, 2021

Registration opens: Monday, September 13, 2021

Registration closes: Tuesday, December 21, 2021

Cancellation Process:

Cancelled by Kerry’s Place: Kerry’s Place may cancel a program due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, and the activity cannot be rescheduled, participants will be notified as quickly as possible and attempts, within reason, will be made to help the attendee enroll in a new session.

Cancelled by Supported Person/Family: For the purposes of effective planning, when possible, Kerry’s Place appreciates five business days’ notice of cancellation before the start of the workshop/training.
