FULL: Virtual Connection Ages 12-14

Virtual Connection is a group aimed at providing children and youth with an opportunity to engage in group activities, and connect with others their age. Activities may include: get to know you games, arts and crafts, science experiments, baking activities, movement breaks, group/collaborative games, virtual field trips, and much more. Participants will have opportunities to build new and lasting connections while having fun.

- Ratio: 4 participants and 1 staff
- Cost: No associated fees
Location: Will be delivered live via Zoom for Professionals and the following are required to participate:
- Mobile Device, Tablet or Computer
- An internet connection
- Speakers and a microphone
- A webcam
Start Date: Wednesday, October 12, 2022
End Date: Wednesday, December 13, 2022
Time: 4:30pm-5:30pm
Pre-Screening Session: Before registration for any group, the child or youth will participate in a group pre-screening session. A group pre-screening session is an opportunity for the child or youth to see what a group at Kerry’s Place Autism Services looks likes. Based on the staff members’ observations during the group pre-screening session, and in consultation with the child or youth and their caregiver, our experienced staff will make recommendations for any service that might best meet the needs of the child or youth. Participating in a group pre-screening session does not guarantee that the child/youth will be enrolled in a particular group or service. Pre-screening sessions are valid for 12 months and are only needed once before registering for a group.

Cancelled by Kerry’s Place: Kerry’s Place may cancel a program due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, and the activity cannot be rescheduled, participants will be notified as quickly as possible and attempts, within reason, will be made to help the attendee enroll in a new session.
Cancelled by Supported Person/Family: For effective planning, when possible, Kerry’s Place appreciates five business days’ notice of cancellation before the start of the workshop/training.
