Before registering for any group, participants must have attended a Kerry’s Place group, camp, or prescreen session within the past year. This prescreen, provided at no cost, is valid for one year, and is an opportunity for the participant to see what a group at Kerry’s Place Autism Services looks like. The prescreen session will consist of different activities, games, and opportunities to interact with other participants, which models an experience similar to that of an actual group session.

For virtual groups, the prescreen will be held virtually. For in-person groups, the prescreen will be held in person. The participant must be present for the duration of the prescreen session. Participants of the prescreen session will be of similar age range, but may vary in strengths, interests and skills. There is a possibility that those in attendance at the prescreen may register for the same group or service.

Based on staff members’ observations during the group prescreen, and in consultation with the participant and their caregiver(s), our experienced staff will make recommendations for any service that could be of benefit for the participant registering.

Please Note: Participating in a group prescreen does not guarantee that the child or youth will be enrolled in a particular group or service.
