Larry recently moved to Clare S. During the process of getting to know him Larry revealed that he likes horses and would like to ride one. His new neighbour David already visited a local stable and soon Larry was tagging along to visit the horses as well.
The stable encouraged Larry to watch David’s lesson and see if it was something that he would be interested in. For Larry it was love at first sight. Larry talked of the horse (Monty) all week until he could go back again.
Larry has learned how to groom saddle and give the horse treats safely. He is working on mounting and dismounting the horse. So far he has only ridden Monty around the ring but is working his way up to a trail ride. The staff at the stable is great at encouraging Larry and working with him at his own pace.
His smiles and laugh while at the stable is a great thing to see.
