THANKS TO AMANDA BISHOP FROM AURORA HIGH SCHOOL FOR SPEARHEADING THE TULIPS FOR AUTISM FUNDRAISER FOR KERRY’S PLACE AUTISM SERVICES!

On April 3, Kate Tansley (Fundraising Manager) and Kerry Brown (Fundraising Assistant) spent some time connecting with students at Aurora High School. With support from Amanda and the Empowering Students Partnership (ESP), they were able to chat with many students over the lunch hour about Autism, the role of Kerry’s Place within York region and, opportunities for students to volunteer.

The opportunity to work with students from the local high school has been awesome and we’re looking forward to having some volunteers participate in upcoming Kerry’s Place events! We want to thank Amanda Bishop, the ESP group, and the staff and students at Aurora High School for their fundraising efforts and for the opportunity to spread Autism Awareness.

The Tulips for Autism fundraiser generated nearly $300 that has been donated to Kerry’s Place! Thank you to Aurora Greenhouse for supplying the beautiful tulips in so many bold, bright, spring colors! And, last but certainly not least, a big thank you to those who supported this initiative by purchasing these lovely Tulips!
