On Saturday March 14th, Kerry’s Place Autism Services chose to close its offices to the public on an indefinite basis to avoid potential spread of COVID-19, consistent with our partners, and direction from local, Provincial and Federal messages. Since that time, our employees have continued to work from offices or other remote locations, continuously collaborating with their colleagues via telephone and online platforms.
Over the past couple of weeks our Leadership teams have taken part in regular conference calls to ensure clarity with respect to government directives, review processes and procedures with respect to COVID-19 and ways to keep our employees and supported persons safe and healthy, and explore ways to broaden service delivery in the current environment.
To this end, our intake team continues to welcome calls related to service delivery, options within the organization, and general information and Kerry’s Place continues to deliver consultative services through web-based platforms and telephone calls.
Kerry’s Place has reviewed options for web-based delivery of training sessions for parents and professionals alike, and of group-based services, including our employment supports and parent support programs, and will be launching numerous additions over the coming days. We are adapting some of our clinical programs to align with current public health guidelines while continuing to support children, youth and families in this new environment.
Please refer to our website for ongoing COVID-19 and related service updates, as we aim to provide these updates on a regular basis.
