Newmarket, Ontario – November 22, 2022 – Kerry’s Place Autism Services is committed to enhancing the quality of life for persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and cultivating a positive and supportive environment that values and fosters diversity, inclusion, continuous development, and well-being for all our valued employees.
On Monday, the bargaining committee for the SEIU, the union representing our 133 front line employees opted to commence a strike. Kerry’s Place is fully committed to resolving this strike as quickly as possible and getting our staff back to work.
In the meantime, Kerry’s Place will continue doing all we can to ensure that quality care is provided to all individuals, and that families continue to have ongoing access to our homes. We encourage families to visit with their loved ones, as we do everything we can to safeguard and provide the supports and services required for the vulnerable population in our care.
