The Virtual Hangout is a weekly online social group for adults. Facilitators lead participants through a variety of themed nightly events each week, such as Technology Nights, Comedy Nights, Holiday Themes (such as a pumpkin decorating contest for Halloween), and even virtual trips to places like Greece!
Furthermore, a variety of interactive games and activities are held to go along with each week’s themed events, and there has also been guest speakers to supplement weekly topics (such as a presenter to speak about online safety during Technology night, and a Comedian who presented to the group).
Many of the participants are from Social Groups which unfortunately haven’t been able to meet in person due to the pandemic. However, the weekly Virtual Hangout provides a space for participants to be able to see and connect with one another again, as well as engage with others in meaningful conversation.
