Our vocational skills curricula help establish and develop participants’ skills related to exploring and attaining volunteer and employment opportunities. Using evidence-based strategies and curricula, the aim of this group is to prepare participants for seeking, applying for, and maintaining employment. Topics explored: daily living skills necessary for employment success (establishing a reasonable sleep schedule, maintaining a healthy diet, personal care and hygiene strategies), preparing a resume, searching and applying for jobs, interview skills, and appropriate work apparel. This group is overseen by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA).

Ready 2 Work will be delivered virtually via Zoom. The Zoom link will be e-mailed by Kerry’s Place staff two business days prior to the day of the scheduled event. Attending a sample session is required to access this group at Kerry’s Place. Once you have expressed your interest for this sample session, the following steps will occur:
- Our intake team will review the supported person’s file and if applicable, connect with you regarding any outstanding documentation
- A Coordinator will call you to discuss the registration to ensure that it aligns with the supported person’s strengths, needs and goals
- The Coordinator will finalize the registration for the sample session.
Please note: Registration for a sample session does not guarantee a space in this group/camp.
